Description	:	After an illness of two weeks with a heart condition, Mrs. Sophie Aurit, 63 of 804 W. 3rd died at a hospital here late Wednesday afternoon. Funeral mass will be said for Mrs. Aurit at 8:30 am Friday at St. Joseph's Cathedral. Burial will be in the local Catholic cemetery. With Barnett chapel as funeral director. The body was taken to the family residence this after noon and there will be recitation of the Rosary at the Aurit home at 9 o'clock this evening. Mrs. Aurit was born Sophie DeSmet, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John DeSmet in Holland in 1878. She was brought to the United States by her parents who moved to this country when she was a year old. The family settled in Iowa where she was reared. Mr. & Mrs. Aurit were married at Sheldon, Ia in 1897. Her husband Christopher died in 1918. Surviving are three sons, George Sioux Falls, Frank; Rock Island Ill and Richard; Glendale Calif. Seven daughters; Margaret and Connie Aurit; Mrs. Ben Reiter; Mrs Harry Reiter, Mrs. Nick Reiter, and Mrs. Henry Kunkel all of Sioux Falls. And Mrs John Sauers, Larchwood, Ia. Three brothers, Frank, Peter, and Phillip DeSmet all of who reside in the United States and 42 grandchildren.
