Description	:	Sophia Mary Alma Bogard, 90, of Mattoon, Illinois, formerly of Indiana and Ohio, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2005, in the Beehive Home of Mattoon. She was born August 29, 1914, in Vigo County, Indiana, the daughter of John and Maude Agnes (Ritter) Ruszler. She was married to Clyde A. Harr and he preceded her in death. She later married George F. Bogard and he also preceded her in death. Mrs. Bogard graduated from the Otter Creek High School of Terre Haute, Indiana, Class of 1932. Read More	Sophia Mary Alma Bogard, 90, of Mattoon, Illinois, formerly of Indiana and Ohio, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2005, in the Beehive Home of Mattoon. She was born August 29, 1914, in Vigo County, Indiana, the daughter of John and Maude Agnes (Ritter) Ruszler. She was married to Clyde A. Harr and he preceded her in death. She later married George F. Bogard and he also preceded her in death. Mrs. Bogard graduated from the Otter Creek High School of Terre Haute, Indiana, Class of 1932. She was a retired Cosmetologist and was licensed in the states of Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. Mrs. Bogard owned and operated her own business for over fifty years. She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Women of the Moose and the Eagles Club, all of Mattoon, Illinois. Mrs. Bogard leaves one daughter, Janice K. Russell and husband Ronald; one step-son, Stephen Bogard and wife Ellen; three granddaughters, Laura K. Becker and Elizabeth A. Warner and Sarah M. Philpott and husband Joe; two step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; step great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mrs. David N. Hanson; four nieces; four nephews; and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two brothers, one sister and one grand son-in-law. A family graveside service held at the Oak Hill Cemetery near Riley, Indiana. Services conducted by her nephew, the Rev. Howard Gleason of Ballwin, Missouri.
