In 1866 she moved with her parents to a farm in Jasper County. On October 1st 1884, at Newton Iowa she married Louis Fredrick Fehleisen, son of Mary Catherine Ludwick and Theodore Fehleisen. When first married they lived in Alton Iowa then moved to Newton in 1885. In 1887 they moved to Boone Iowa where they have resided ever since. To this union six children were born, Bertha Carrie Martin, who passed away Dec 18 1918; Minnie Catherine Crimmins of Los Angeles, Calif; Bessie Lulu, who passed away in 1893; Vera Elizabeth Herrald of Boone; Elmer E Fehleisen, Boone; Ruth Edna Lehman, Colege Place Washington. She is survived by 12 grandchildren, Rober Martin, Calif.; Mrs Frances Coddington, Chicago; Mrs Marjorie Ringland, Calif; Mrs Janet Bennett, Boone; Wesley and Ruthanne Herrald, Barbara and Margret Fehleisen, Boone; Sherman, Eileen, Melvin and Joan Lehaman College Place Washington; also five great grandchildren. Also three brother, Fred Achtemeier, Jansen Nebraska; Henry Achtemeier, Harbine Nebraska; Charlie Achtemeire, Marshalltown, Iowa and one sister, Mrs Anna Bowers Marshalltown, Iowa.
