Description	:	Mrs. Sophie Gruber was born in Germany February 17, 1860, and passed away July 29, 1930. The immediate cause of death was apoplexy. Her age was 75 years, 5 months and 12 days. In her early girlhood she lived with her parents in Ft. Wayne, Ind., where she attended a parochial school and became a communicant member of the Lutheran church by confirmation. She remained a faithful member of the Lutheran church until her end. On May 5, 1887, she entered holy matrimony with Mr. Immanuel Gruber. The immediate cause of death was apoplexy. Her age was 75 years, 5 months and 12 days. In her early girlhood she lived with her parents in Ft. Wayne, Ind., where she attended a parochial school and became a communicant member of the Lutheran church by confirmation. She remained a faithful member of the Lutheran church until her end. On May 5, 1887, she entered holy matrimony with Mr. Immanuel Gruber. Four children were born to this union, 2 sons and 2 daughters. The eldest daughter preceded the mother in death nineteen years ago. Though seventy years of age, Mrs. Gruber was very active and was able to perform her housework herself. Last Friday she took sick and the doctor diagnosed high blood pressure. On Monday she was removed to Morrow's Hospital and the end came suddenly Tuesday noon. Funeral services were held August 1, at the home and in the church, her pastor, A. Merz, preaching the sermon from I Cor. 15:42-43 and Hebrews 4:9. Interment was made in Stone church cemetery. She leaves to mourn her loss, the husband, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, five grandchildren, one brother in Wyoming, one sister in Ft.
