They both worked at Platte River State Park for several years. Sophie loved her job, and the people she worked with. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, embroidery work and especially birds. Sister, Hilda (Richard) Kasl, of Wilber, two sister-in-laws, Tina Wilken, of Cook, and Dorothy Wilken, of Bllingham, WA. Brother in law Sam (Loretta) Beck, of St. George, UT, and many nieces, nephew, and dear friends. She is preceded in Death by her parents, Bernt and Augusta Wilken, and husband Junior Beck, 1997, and by her brothers, Henry, William, Ben Herman, and John, and by sisters Alma, Sena, and Rosie. Funeral service will be Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 36712 Church Road, Louisville, Nebraska, with burial at Oakwood Cemetery following the Meal at Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. all at the Funeral Home.
