Description	:	Army Specialist 4 Steven Wayne Bradbury, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne D. Bradbury of Wichita, formerly of Bartlett, was killed in action July 13, 1969 in Vietnam, his parents have been notified. Bradbury was the grandson of George E. Bradbury of Parsons and W.B. and Leah Pickering of Bartlett. A grandmother, Mrs. Mabel Bradbury, lives in Tulsa, Okla. His mother is the former Doris Pickering of Bartlett. Bradbury was born at Mercy Hospital in Parsons on Jan. 19, 1949. The family lived at Bartlett until moving to Wichita in 1953. The home there is at 1820 S. Old Manor Road. He was a 1967 graduate of Southeast High School in Wichita and was a member of the Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church at 3700 East, Wichita, where a memorial fund has been established. In addition to the parents he is survived by a brother, George E., of the home. Steve was the eldest son of Doris (Pickering) and Wayne (Butch) Bradbury of Wichita, KS. He had one brother George Bradbury. His maternal grandparents are Wayne and Leah Pickering of Bartlett, KS. Other family members included Lloyd (Uncle)and Retha Pickering, and their son Bucky. Marvin (Uncle) and Mary Pickering, Dale, Rusty and Linda Pickering. All living in Bartlett, KS. The body is to be returned to Wichita for funeral services, but no time has been set.
