Born in New Cumberland, he was the last member of a family of six, born to the late Rachel (Sarty) and Stephen Meisner. He was a faithful adherent of the Baptist Church. Born in New Cumberland, he was the last member of a family of six, born to the late Rachel (Sarty) and Stephen Meisner. He was a faithful adherent of the Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife (formerly Agnes Corkum of New Cumberland); three daughters, Mrs. Maurice Eagle, Halifax; Mrs. Ruth Rafuse, Hamilton, Ont.; Mrs. C. Gerald Corkum, Mount Pleasant; three sons Borden, Hamilton, Ont.; Richard, Bridgewater; Bert, New Cumberland; one step-daughter; Mrs. Jean Publicover, West Dublin; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife (Edith) Dagley of Blue Rocks, two sons and one daughter. The largely attended funeral service was held at New Cumberland Baptist Church on Saturday afternoon, with Rev. Melville Scott of Bridgewater Baptist Church officiating. Favorite hymns of the deceased were sung with Mrs. Maxwell Corkum, organist. Pallbearers were Messrs. Donald Baker, Maurice Hartman, Hugh Corkum, Emerson Conrad, Roy Freeman and Justice Meisner. Interment was in the Baptist Cemetery, New Cumberland.
