Description	:	Sister Jeanne Marie Roche, R.S.M., age 82, of Johnston and formerly of Colo, Iowa, died Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Bishop Drumm Care Center in Johnston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colo, with burial to follow in Nevada Municipal Cemetery. The Reverends Rick Dagit and John Herzog will officiate. She graduated from Colo High School in 1949, then furthered her education at AIB in Des Moines. Jeanne earned her bachelor's degree from the College of St. Mary in Omaha, NE, and her master's degree from Marquette University in Marquette, WI. She entered Sisters of Mercy of the Americas on September 8, 1954, and celebrated 60 years as a Sister. She taught in Kansas City, MO, Omaha, NE, Greeley, CO, Independence, MO, and at All Saints in Des Moines. Sister Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Arlene Jamison; and three infant brothers. Survivors include a brother, Dan (Fern) Roche of Glendale, AZ; several nieces and nephews; four great-nieces; as well as the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas in Omaha, NE.
