Description	:	Feb 2, 1937 - Carroll Daily Herald - Sister Mary Julitta, a member of the Franciscan order, passed away at the St. Anthony hospital at 2:15 o'clock Tuesday morning of pneumonia. Sister Julitta, who was a former school teacher, was taking the place of one of the sisters at St. Mary's school at Willey, who was ill when she herself became sick. Sister Julitta, who was a former school teacher, was taking the place of one of the sisters at St. Mary's school at Willey, who was ill when she herself became sick. She was brought to the hospital Friday, Jan. 22. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Thursday morning at the hospital chapel, with Rev. Father T. Perrion reading the requiem mass, and burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. Sister M. Julitta was born Mary Naescher at Yankton, S.D., in 1884. She entered St. Rose convent at LaCrosse, Wis., from Guttenberg, Ia., in July, 1900. In 1901 she received the veil and in 1903 she made her religious profession. Taking up teaching in her life of service, she taught in Wisconsin and Iowa schools until two years ago, when she suffered a severe illness of pneumonia which forbade her continuance of the work. For a number of years she taught in St. Mary's school at Willey. The greater part of the last year and a half she spent at the St. Anthony hospital, but since last September she had been at the St. Angela academy, where she helped in the studio and assisted in other ways. Surviving Sister Julitta are a sister, Miss Elizabeth Naescher, who is a nurse at Riverside, Calif., and a brother, William Naescher, of Wall, S.D. Mother was Caroline NIEPP NAESCHER. 1858-1893.
