Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Lawrence Church, Carroll, with the Rev. Clair Boes. The Rev. Lawrence McCarty will say the homily, and the Rev. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Lawrence Church, Carroll, with the Rev. Clair Boes. The Rev. Lawrence McCarty will say the homily, and the Rev. Active pall bearers will be Larry Hansman, Eliseo Evangelista, Fred Dolezal, Mike McCarty, Nick Lenz and Barry Bruner. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bellevue, with the Rev. Stephen Meyer officiating. Visitation was held Monday at the church. The Sharp Funeral Home, Carroll, is in charge of arrangements. Sister Susan ministered in the field of education. She served 47 years as a teacher and administrator in elementary schools staffed by Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in Iowa and Wisconsin, 28 of those years in Carroll. She was principal at St. Bernard's Grade School, Breda, from 1966 to 1968; principal at Holy Spirit School from 1968 to 1978; principal at St. Lawrence School from 1978 to 1996. She then retired and continued to live in Carroll. She was born on May 5, 1928, in Bellevue, daughter of Louis E. and Mary Wilhelmina (George) Till. She grew up in Bellevue, attended St. Joseph's schools, in Bellevue, graduating in 1946, when she entered St. Rose Convent. In April 1993, she was presented with the National Distinguished Principal Award at the National Catholic Educational Association Convention in New Orleans. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Judy (James) Kolker, of Bellevue; several nieces and nephews; and her Franciscan Community. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Adrian and Donald Till; and two sisters, Kathleen and Dorothy, in infancy.
