Sergeant Botts was a native of Abbeville and had spent the greater portion of his life here until he joined the Army nine years ago. He was the son of the late Thomas Henry and Jennie McCord Botts. Surviving; wife, Mrs Clara Hill Botts of Chicago, IL; 5 sisters, Mrs Blance Grimes, Mrs E Carroll Davis and Mrs Alma Burbage - of Abbeville.
