Description	:	Victor A. "Bud" MacDonald, Sr., 79, of Keokuk died Monday, May 12, 2003 at 4:11 A.M. at Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa. Victor MacDonald was born on February 6, 1924 in Keokuk, Iowa. He was the son of Harry W. and Inez Billings MacDonald. He married Billie Jean Craig. He later married Betty Grisham. He was a lifelong resident of the Keokuk and Tri-State area and was employed as an electrician at Electro-Metals. "Bud" MacDonald, Sr., 79, of Keokuk died Monday, May 12, 2003 at 4:11 A.M. at Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa. Victor MacDonald was born on February 6, 1924 in Keokuk, Iowa. He was the son of Harry W. and Inez Billings MacDonald. He married Billie Jean Craig. He later married Betty Grisham. He was a lifelong resident of the Keokuk and Tri-State area and was employed as an electrician at Electro-Metals. During World War II he served with the United States Army Air Crop as a Staff Sergeant. He was a member of the American Legion Post #41; V.F.W. Post # 3508; and was a member of the Deer Run Golf Course. He was a diehard fan of the Chicago Cubs since 1934 and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. Survivors include his companion and caregiver, Gail Adams, of Keokuk, Iowa; children, Jeanetta Catterson of Joliet, Illinois and Victor MacDonald, Jr. and his wife, Shelly, of Sarasota, Florida; stepchildren, Patty Pyles and her husband, Phil, of Warsaw, Illinois and Rick Grisham of Warsaw, Illinois; a sister, Mary Inez Holmes, of Keokuk, Iowa; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harry, Jr. and one in infancy; and one sister, Elaine Blake. Services were Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at DeJong's Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Lovell officiating. Burial was in Keokuk National Cemetery with military rites. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, American Heart Association, or to the American Cancer Association.
