Description	:	Stanley E. Petsche, formerly of Albion, Nebraska, died Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Golden Living Center, Clarkson, Nebraska. Stanley, son of Mathias and Anna (Wlaschin) Petsche was born March 5, 1917 at the family home near Osmond, Nebraska. Stanley moved with his family to Spalding, Nebraska and later to the Elgin, Nebraska area where he attended school at rural Star School and District 82 before graduating from St. Boniface Catholic High School. Stanley, son of Mathias and Anna (Wlaschin) Petsche was born March 5, 1917 at the family home near Osmond, Nebraska. Stanley moved with his family to Spalding, Nebraska and later to the Elgin, Nebraska area where he attended school at rural Star School and District 82 before graduating from St. Boniface Catholic High School. He farmed with his father and brothers until entering the United States Army on February 18, 1942 during World War II. He served as an Antiaircraft Artillery Mechanic and was stationed in California, Tennessee, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, France and was scheduled to deploy to Germany but orders were cancelled. He was honorably discharged on December 2, 1945. He resumed farming in the Elgin and Clearwater, Nebraska areas. Stanley married Rita Mildred Temme on February 12, 1952 at St. John's Catholic Church in Petersburg, Nebraska. The couple made their home southwest of Albion, Nebraska where Stanley farmed and raised cattle until retiring and moving into Albion, Nebraska in 1988. In 2003, he entered Samaritan Estates Assisted Living, Albion, Nebraska and moved to the Golden Living Center in Clarkson, Nebraska in 2010. Stanley was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Albion, Nebraska and a former member of the District 42 School Board. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved spending time with his family. Surviving are: daughters, Judy O'Neill and husband Jim of Grand Island, Nebraska and Lorie Paprocki and husband Chuck of Clarkson, Nebraska; grandchildren: Carrie (Matt) Hake, Steven (Rachel) Paprocki, and Jakub Paprocki, all of Clarkson, Nebraska, Anna O'Neill and Megan O'Neill of Grand Island, Nebraska; sister Florence Knievel of Neligh, Nebraska; sister-in-law: Esther Petsche of Petersburg, Nebraska and a host of relatives and friends. Stanley was preceded in death by: parents; brothers, Richard (Beatrice) Petsche and Lawrence Petsche; sisters, Hildegarde (Pete) Wolken, Adella (John)Wier, Anna (Ralph) Harris, Frances Petsche in infancy and brother-in-law, William Knievel. Interment was in St. Michael's Catholic Church Cemetery, Albion, Nebraska.
