Description	:	Stanley G. Denger, 69, of Dows died unexpectedly Monday, January 20 at North Iowa Mercy Hospital in Mason City. Funeral services were held Thursday at Vernon Lutheran Church, Dows. Burial was at the Dows Fairview Cemetery. Stanley G. Denger was born February 13, 1927 in Galt, the son of Stanley and Fern Miller Denger Sr. He attended grade school in Vernon Country School and graduated from Dows High School in 1945. Burial was at the Dows Fairview Cemetery. Stanley G. Denger was born February 13, 1927 in Galt, the son of Stanley and Fern Miller Denger Sr. He attended grade school in Vernon Country School and graduated from Dows High School in 1945. On February 17, 1948 he was united in marriage to Evelyn Beisner at the United Methodist Church in Dows. Stanley farmed and also had a machine repair shop. In 1984 he retired from farming but continued to work in the machine repair shop. He served on the church council at Vernon Lutheran Church, was a township trustee, a member of the Dows Library Board and was associated with the Dows Ambulance. Survivors include his wife Evelyn of Dows; mother, Fern of Buffalo Center; one son, Marion and wife Cynthia of Dows; one daughter, Monica Johnson and husband Raymond of Dows; three grandchildren and two sisters: Delores Wertjes of Buffalo Center and Janet Huey of Mason City.
