Stanley Lammers passed away from cancer Monday April 17, 2000, at Sioux Center at the age of 66 years. He was born on March 3, 1934, in Sioux Center to Henry and Johanna (Westra) Lammers. On May 1 1953, he married Nancy Vande Stouwe in Hull, Iowa. He was the founder and served as president of Sioux Preme Packing Co. in Sioux Center from 1968 to 1997. Because of his wide range of interests, he was actively engaged in serving on several boards and associations: the Sioux Center Land Development Board for over 30 years; the Certified Angus Beef Board for 7 years: the Boards of both the American State Bank in Sioux Center and the American Bank . in Le Mars, a former Vice President of National lndependent Meat Packers Association: former president of the Sioux Center Chamber of Commerce: and served on the consistories of both the Morningside Reformed Church in Sioux City and the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center He raised purebred Angus cattle for 30 years and enjoyed mentoring many young students in their agricultural interests, particularly Dordt College students. He was a loving father and grandfather Left to cherish his memory are: his wife, Nancy of Sioux Center; one daughter Dana and her husband, F John Rewoldt of Kapelle, The Netherlanas; one son, Stanley Grant and his wife, Kim Lammers of Grimes, Iowa; five grandchildren: F Ian and Abby Rewoldt and Grant, Emily and Natalie Lammers; and four sisters: Hermina Richmond of Sioux Center; Nelvina and her husband, Harry Mulder of Sioux Center; Betty and her husband, Elmer Van Wyk of George, Iowa; and Hendrene Kalsbeck of Sioux Center and one sister-in-law, Adeline Lammers of Sioux Center.
