Description	:	Stanley "Stan" Schweitzer was born to Bert and Jenny (Eash) Schweitzer, on October 2, 1926, on a farm near Milford, Nebraska and went to his heavenly home on February 10, 2011, at Sunrise Country Manor in Milford, Nebraska at the age of 84 years, 4 months and 8 days. Read More	Stanley "Stan" Schweitzer was born to Bert and Jenny (Eash) Schweitzer, on October 2, 1926, on a farm near Milford, Nebraska and went to his heavenly home on February 10, 2011, at Sunrise Country Manor in Milford, Nebraska at the age of 84 years, 4 months and 8 days. Stan attended Pilot Knob Country School near Milford and later was in the U.S. Navy where he served overseas in the Pacific Theatre. After his discharge he furthered his education by attending the Milford Trade School where he studied Diesel Mechanics. On March 28, 1950, he was united in marriage to Hilda Huber in Friend and to this union four sons and a daughter were born. His first job was in Loup City where he was a heavy equipment mechanic. Later they moved to Lincoln where he was employed at Western Electric. They moved to Milford in 1953 where he worked as a mechanic in Lincoln and also was a long-time employee with Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph. Stan was an avid trap shooter and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was president for several years with the Milford Gun Club. He also operated a gun shop, "Schweitzer Gun Shop" for several years. Stan was a faithful man and was involved heavily in the "Men's Full Gospel Fellowship Group" in Lincoln. Together he and Hilda were members of the Missionary Church and the Assembly of God, both of Milford. Stan was a member of the Milford American Legion Post #171. Survivors are: Bruce and Deb, Bend, OR, Brad and Sandra Schweitzer, Brian and Carolyn Schweitzer and Brent and Sherry Schweitzer, all of Milford; daughter and son-in-law, Valarie and Gary Hesman, Hastings, grandchildren, Jason and Beth Schweitzer, Joshua Schweitzer, Christopher and Christina Schweitzer, Stephanie Schweitzer, Nathan and Nichole Hesman, Austin and Jamie Schweitzer, Aundraia and Scott Hajek, Logan and Samara Schweitzer, Brooke, Britney and Keaton Schweitzer; great-grandchildren, Dalton Mundhenke, Ava and Braylin Schweitzer, and Kira Schweitzer, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vera Huber, York, Paul and Charlene Huber, Erma and Keith Clouse, all of Friend, Frieda Bodwalk of Miami Beach, FL, Dorothy Schweitzer, Seward, Ruth Schweitzer, Omaha and a host of relatives and friends. Stan was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Hilda in 2002, brothers, Kenneth, Floyd and Raymond Schweitzer, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, Mary and Keith Eich, John Huber, and Basil Bodwalk.
