Description	:	Stanley W. "Stan" Mullan, 60, of Mechanicsville, died suddenly on Friday, July 24, 2015. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 29, at First United Methodist Church, Mechanicsville. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville, Iowa. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon. A memorial fund has been established. The family requests that those attending the visitation wear their Hawkeye or NASCAR clothing and casual attire for the funeral service. Stan was born April 12, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of John "Moon" and Helen (Spitznagle) Mullan. He graduated in 1973 from Lincoln Community High School in Stanwood. Stan married Janice Weber on July 7, 2007, in Cedar Rapids. He worked at Wilson's/Farmstead for several years and worked for many years at the Ford dealership in Mount Vernon, known as Lynch Ford today. Stan was a devoted Iowa Hawkeyes fan, never missing a bowl game Iowa played in. He also enjoyed NASCAR, especially Tony Stewart. Stan loved traveling with Janice, especially to places like Daytona and Tampa, Florida. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Janice; one daughter, Mandi (Frank) Tarr of Cleburne, TX; two grandchildren, Jacob and Ciera Tarr; one brother, John (Sherri) Mullan of Mechanicsville; one sister, Diane (Ron) Gilligan of Duluth, MN; one brother-in-law, Ron (Diane) Weber of Mechanicsville; two sisters-in-law, Connie (Rick) Pruess of Mechanicsville and Sally (Mike) Berry of Clive; his mother-in-law, Wanda Weber of Mechanicsville; several nieces and nephews; as well as many friends and co-workers.
