Description	:	OBITUARY Stanton E Galbraith,age 93, of WInner, South Dakota and formerly of Wood, South Dakota died on Sunday April 8,2001 at the Winner Regional Nursing Home. Stanton was born on March 9, 1908 at Spencer, Nebraska, the son of Roy and Ethel Wietzeil Galbraith. His family moved to wood, South Dakota in 1918 and he attended Wood Public Schools and graduated from Murdo High School. Read More	OBITUARY Stanton E Galbraith,age 93, of WInner, South Dakota and formerly of Wood, South Dakota died on Sunday April 8,2001 at the Winner Regional Nursing Home. Stanton was born on March 9, 1908 at Spencer, Nebraska, the son of Roy and Ethel Wietzeil Galbraith. His family moved to wood, South Dakota in 1918 and he attended Wood Public Schools and graduated from Murdo High School. Stanton was united in marriage to Lona Ellis on July 3, 1931 at White River, South Dakota. The couple farmed and ranched in the Wood area all of their married life, spending winters in Texas for the past 31 years. They moved to WInner in the spring of 1999. Stanton was a member of the Eastern Star and the Masonic Lodges in Wood, SD, Apata, Texas and Goldsmith Texas. He was a 50 year member of the Wood Masonic Lodge until it disbanded and joined the White River Lodge. Stanton was also a member of the Consistery at Yankton, South Dakota, The El Riad Shrine of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the Wood United Church of Christ and he served on numerous community committees. He is survived by his wife, Lona of WInner, SD; two daughters Ila (Allen) Tucker of Wood, SD and Lois (James ) Hudgins of Los Alamos, NM; one son, Lee (Mariyln) Galbraith of Wood SD; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and one sister, Hollis Bruning of Winfred, SD and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Robert. The family request memorials to go to the Gazebo Fund at the Golden Prairie Manor in Winner in liew of flowers.
