Description	:	WALNUT COVE, NC ~ Mr. Stanton Lee Madison, 54, died Wednesday at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after fighting cancer for six years. Mr. Madison was born Nov. 20, 1947 to the late Delbert and Thelma Bates Brown. He was a retired warehouse manager with Alpine Distributing. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam having received two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Shirry Hill Madison of Walnut Cove; a daughter, Angela and husband Gregory McAllister of Walnut Cove; a son, Lawrence H. Creech III of Badin; sisters... Read More	WALNUT COVE, NC ~ Mr. Stanton Lee Madison, 54, died Wednesday at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after fighting cancer for six years. Creech III of Badin; sisters Tammy Byrd and husband Bryan of Winston-Salem and Tabatha Darnell and husband Duane of Jacksonville, Fla.; and grandchildren Stephanie Griffin and husband James of King, B.J. Long and Ashley Long, both of Walnut Cove and Lawrence H. Creech IV of Colonial Heights, Va. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday April 6, 2002, at Palmyra United Methodist Church Cemetery in Germanton with the Rev. Tim Gammons and Chaplain Fred Moretz officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at Burroughs Funeral Home and other times at the family residence. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative CareCenter, 1100-C S. Stratford Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
