Martin, 78, 808 North Walnut, died yesterday, July 16, at the Allen County Hospital. Mrs. Martin was born March 7, 1895, at Girard. She was married to A.F. Martin and they lived in Pittsburg where Mrs. Martin was a housemother at Kansas State College for several years. Mr. Martin died in 1971 and in 1972 Mrs. Martin moved to Iola to make her home. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and Assembly of God Church. Survivors include a brother, the Rev. George Hart, Hemet, California; two sisters, Mrs. Joe Wolf, Iola, and Mrs. Joe Woodard, Coffeyville, and several step-children, including two step-daughters, Mrs. Nellie Crees, Austin, Texas, and Mrs. Blanche Bowers, Rota, Spain. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Waugh-Yokum Funeral Home. The Rev. John Chastain will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
