Stella was born in Marion Township to Thov Jr. and Gurine (Houg) Kjosa on September 10, 1914. She was baptized and confirmed in the Marion Lutheran Church, Gunder. Stella received her education in Elgin, graduating with the class of 1933. She was united in marriage on July 2, 1934, to Glenn E. Larson at Galena, IL. Five sons were born to this union. Their lives were spent farming while raising a family and taking care of aging parents. Stella was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a very caring and nurturing person. She was a member of Highland Lutheran Church, Elgin, ELCA and very active in church activities. She will be sadly missed by many. She is survived by three sons, Ronnie (Shirley), Marion, Gerald (Alma) St Charles, MO, Al Dwaine (Nancy), Johnston; two daughters-in-law, Sara Larson Schneider, Williamston, MI and Pat, Elburn, IL; fifteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Stella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Glenn, two sons, Donald and David; one grandson Bart; two sisters, Grace Anderson and Lena Bergan and three brothers, Lewis Kjosa, Kenneth Kjosa and Joseph Kjosa.
