David Burling officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Stella June McBride* was born in Bethany, Mo., the daughter of James G. and Nellie (Harris) Burton. She owned and operated the El Rancho Cafe and Hunters Hut restaurants in Nevada. On July 5, 1969, she married Marvin McBride in Nevada. She was a longtime resident of Nevada and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Richard Hunter, James Hunter and John Hunter, all of Nevada; a daughter, Dixie Hein of Nevada; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four sisters,and Jessie Madeline Burton Johnson of Bethany,Mo. Alice Josephine Burton Lewis of Wakavusa, Kan., Marjorie Burton Hinkson of Portland, Ore. Eunice Opal Burton Massengill of Bethany,Mo; two step-daughters, Shirley Smith of Spirit Lake and Carol Gammon of Ames; and one step-son, Marty McBride of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by four brothers Jack Burton,Junior Burton, Clarence Marion Burton, Francis Clifford Burton, four sisters Mary Belle Burton Ort, Sarah Elizabeth Burton Worden, Catherine Burton, Viola Glen Burton Hunter, and one grandson Wayne Lee Hunter. Visitation is after 3 p.m. today, with the family present from 5:30 to 7:30, at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada. A memorial fund has been established.
