Death was due to cancer. Stella attended school at St. Boniface in Westphalia and graduated from high school with the Class of '41. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Rosary Society. June 1, 1949, she was married to Donovan C. Kepford at St. Boniface Church in Westphalia, Iowa. Three children were born to this union, 2 sons and 1 daughter. Her mother, two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband, Donovan, her children, Randall, Richard and Judy, all living at home in Westphalia; her father, Carl of Harlan, Iowa; two sisters: Odelia Stephany of Harlan, Iowa and Sr M. Margretta O.S.F. of Walls, Mississippi; three brothers: Earl of Westphalia, Iowa, Leroy of Harlan, Iowa and Raymond of Portsmouth, Iowa.
