OBITUARY: STELLA DANHAUER Stella Luella Danhauer, the daughter of Sigvard and Julia (Kaae) Andersen, was born in Marquette, Nebraska on March 17, 1921 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on March 3, 2005, at the age of 83. She grew up in Marquette on the family farm. Stella attended District #100 and graduated from Marquette High School. On February 16, 1939, she was united in marriage to Bernard Elza Danhauer at Aurora. They rented a farm in the Marquette area for 4 years, and then purchased a farm, where they farmed until 1985, when they retired and moved into Aurora. Bernard passed away on August 29, 1993. Stella moved to East Park Villa in April 2001. Stella was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered at the Memorial Thrift Store. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two brothers, Herluff and Elwood Andersen; two sisters, Helga Kauffman and Leona Nissen and a great-grandson, Taylor J. Engle. Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Larry (Janice) Danhauer and Loren (Vicki) Danhauer both of Lincoln; three daughters, Donna Rae (Bob) Gondolfi, Colleen (Virgel) Engle and Jeanette (Terry) Monk all of Lincoln; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
