She later attended St. Theresa's College in Winona, Minn. for two years. She married Chris Schneider on June 27, 1929 in Alton. He died May 24, 1978. At that time she moved to Cherokee. She was employed as a seamstress for many years. Mrs. Schneider was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America and the Ladies Union. She was a past member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton. She enjoyed playing cards. Survivors include three daughters, Aileen, Lyanne and Norma Jean; a son, Thomas; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a step great-grandson; a sister, Silveria; and a brother, Dr. Michael Noethe of Newton.
