Description	:	On May 17, 1933, Stella Mae Patton was born in Carroll County, Kentucky. She was a cherished daughter of John and Mary Ann McQueen Patton. Growing up she shared her childhood with six brothers and three sisters. In about 1940 the Patton family moved from Kentucky to Wabash. The family tree continued to grow with... Read More	On May 17, 1933, Stella Mae Patton was born in Carroll County, Kentucky. She was a cherished daughter of John and Mary Ann McQueen Patton. Growing up she shared her childhood with six brothers and three sisters. In about 1940 the Patton family moved from Kentucky to Wabash. In Marion on July 3, 1948, Stella married the love of her life and best friend, Mr. Max A. Grube. They shared 56 years of life's adventures. From their union came three wonderful sons. The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of three more generations. After nearly 50 years as a beautician, Stella retired her scissors and hair dryers. She the first president of the Fulton County Hair Dressers Association. She was also a devoted member of the Fulton County the Democratic Party. Stella was a member of the election board for over a half century. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose for many years. Following retirement Stella spent much of her waking hours in the spirit of volunteerism. A vibrant member of The Cross she volunteered at Matthew's Market, stuffed Easter eggs for the annual Easter Egg hunt, and loved adding seasonal decorations to the church. A member of the Woodlawn Auxiliary, Stella volunteered at the oncology department each week for many years. To relax she enjoyed playing cards, especially hand and foot with her nieces Mary Ann and Vickie.
