Description	:	Son of Samuel and Kesiah Lane Smith. Stephen married (1) Mary (Polly) Huggins, and (2) Rhoda White. "Old John Huggins' daughter, Mary (Polly as she was called), married the late Stephen Smith; by this marriage several sons and daughters were born; the sons were, and are, Ebenezer, George W., S. Elmore, Benjamin Gause, S. Whiteford and J. Emory Smith, and another, named Augustus, who was killed during the war on a train near Florence; and daughters, Mrs. Mitchell Martin, Mrs. George W.
