He came to Nebraska a the age of seven with his parents, Christoph and Mary Leveling Venjohn. He lived first near West Point, then at Aloys, and in 1904 moved to a farm south of Wisner. Mr. Venjohn had been in poor health for some time. A short time ago he was taken very ill and was removed to the West Point hospital about a week before his death." He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters. He was survived by 3 brothers: Arnold, Peter, Chris and 2 sisters: Miss Kathryn Venjohn, Mrs. Henry Grothe all at Wisner. The funeral service was held Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic church at Wisner with burial in the Wisner Catholic cemetery.
