Stephen was a farmer, and attracted by the good reports of the Loyalists in Canada, left his American home in 1812, came to S. Fredericksburg, and lived a few years on lot 18 in the 3rd concession. For a time he endeavored to add to the slender revenue of the farm by setting up a small distillery. He shifted about from one place to another and finally settled down in the 7th concession of Ernestown. While he was not a Loyalist, born after the American Revolution, his children married Loyalists who were predominate in the area. He described himself as a Wesleyan Methodist in the Censuses. June 12, 1845 who married Cynthia HAM - 2 children, John Warner (1844-1897) and Ira Warner. 6. JAMES WARNER (b. ca. 1821) moved to the United States 7.
