Description	:	Steve Delp was born on June 8, 1958 in Jefferson, Iowa. He was the first child born to Jacob and Carolynn Delp, followed by seven brothers and sisters. Steve lived in the Grand Junction area all of his life. He graduated from East Greene High School in 1976 and began working on the railroad and later for Webster City Incorporated for over 25 years until they closed in 2011. Steve also helped his father with the family farm and then his brothers after their father's passing. He enjoyed supervising his brothers and sisters and delegating the work, mostly away... Read More	Steve Delp was born on June 8, 1958 in Jefferson, Iowa. He was the first child born to Jacob and Carolynn Delp, followed by seven brothers and sisters. Steve lived in the Grand Junction area all of his life. He graduated from East Greene High School in 1976 and began working on the railroad and later for Webster City Incorporated for over 25 years until they closed in 2011. Steve also helped his father with the family farm and then his brothers after their father's passing. He enjoyed supervising his brothers and sisters and delegating the work, mostly away from himself! Steve also enjoyed sports and watching the Hawkeyes and Cyclones. He enjoyed fishing, hunting for mushrooms and eating as much tortellini as possible at Christmas. Most of all he enjoyed his nieces and nephews. He spoiled them with candy bars and quarters whenever possible. Steve is survived by his siblings: Gail Delp of Perry, Sharon Delp of Perry, Joann Gooding (Larry) of Des Moines, Mark Delp of Bouton, James Delp (Terri) of Perry, John Delp (Bonnie) of Altoona and David Delp (Toni) of Carroll. Steve also had many beloved nieces and nephews who meant the world to him. Funeral services for Steve Delp, 54, of Grand Junction, were at 10:00 am Thursday, May 30, 2013 at The Dwelling Place, 303 East Gallup Rd, Jefferson, IA. Interment was in the Junction Twp. Cemetery. The family greeted friends at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson from 5:30 – 8:00 Wednesday. When you talked with Steve he never said goodbye, he always ended the conversation with "That's all". So today we do not say goodbye but "That's all" for now until we see you again.
