Brother of Flora Bell, Lillian May, Evea, Bertha Elizabeth, Lewis and John Goff. Married Edith Jones on December 18, 1907, in Danville, Vermilion County, Indiana. Father of Evelyn, Stillman Reese, Glenn Jones, Ruth Mildred, Valeria Lucille and Lois Arvilla. Stillman Goff, a progressive farmer and livestock breeder, thinks Parke County is the best place in the world to live. He and his wife, Edith, live on a 612-acre farm. Stillman was born in Vermillion County but moved to Parke County in 1915. Mrs. Goff was born in Illinois but has lived most of her life in Indiana. They have five children; Mrs. Evelyn Abbott of Indianapolis graduated from Purdue University, Stillman Reese, a chemist, graduated from the University of Illinois, Glenn Jones attended Purdue and is now an accountant at Kensington, Maryland, Mrs. Ruth Mildred Machledt lives in Montezuma, and Mrs. Valeria Lucille Smith also a graduated from Purdue and now lives at Barberton, Ohio. A sister Mrs. Evea Hicks of Perrysville; 17 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Mr. Goff helped organize Farm Bureau and served as chairman three times. He has been a director on the Farm Bureau Co-op board for a number of years. At present he is director-at-large. He also served on the library board for several years and is now on the REMC board. One of the outstanding achievements is his success as a livestock breeder. He has shown Herford cattle, Chester White hogs, and Corriedale sheep at the County fair each year. He was a member of the Bethel Community Church. He spends much time in church work with the co-op, and in many civic functions. He believes in working for the things he considers worthwhile.
