She was born June 19, 1937, in Defiance, Ohio, to Elbert "Bone" and Cora Viola (Hornish) Flory. She was united in marriage on November 6, 1955, to Donald Schmunk. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1998. She was a member of the First Church of God. Surviving are a daughter, Julie (Ronson) Bowers of Sherwood; two sons, Michael (Tammy) Schmunk of Paulding and Kristofer (Laura) Schmunk of Defiance; seven grandchildren, Gannon and Shane Bowling, Leslie (McCoy), Zachary and Angela Schmunk, Asia and Maleah Schmunk; 12 great-grandchildren; her beloved sisters-in-law, Mary Flory of Florida, Charlotte Florence of Defiance, Ruth Strable of Cecil, Peg Stork of Defiance and Mary Mehring of Defiance; nephews, Chuck (Rhea) Flory and Dennis (Barbara) Flory; and nieces, Mary Ellen (Allen) Watson and Lori Ann Bowling-Flory, all of Florida. Susie had a special friend, Marv Ankney, who was her high school sweetheart. They were reunited a little over two years ago. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Don; and brother, Howard J. "Jack" Flory of Florida. Susie was an avid race fan. When "GENTLEMEN START YOUR ENGINES!" was being bellowed out, you were sure to find her in front of the her television. Sit down, be quiet and you best be rooting for her favorite drivers, the Earnharts. Susie was a gentle woman with a kind giving heart. She had many friends and has left many lasting memories for all of us. So please just for a moment, stop and say "Boggity, Boggity, Boggity" for her journey through heaven's gates. At Susie's request, there will be a memorial service held at the First Church of God
