Description	:	Susan was the second born child of Richard and Christian Wright. She was born in Tennessee. Nothing is known of her father's family. Her mother's family had a long history in North Carolina, including the territory that became Tennessee. Susan married Robert Baker Howard, a member of the Howard family with whom the Wrights were neighbors in Tennessee. Robert's older sister, Martha, had married Susan's older brother, William, in 1848. Her mother's family had a long history in North Carolina, including the territory that became Tennessee. Susan married Robert Baker Howard, a member of the Howard family with whom the Wrights were neighbors in Tennessee. Robert's older sister, Martha, had married Susan's older brother, William, in 1848. The exact date of Susan's marriage is not known, but she was single on September 28, 1850, the date of the 1850 census. The Howard family story relates that the Howards moved to Johnson County, Iowa in the early 1850s, and that Susan's husband, Howard, died in 1852 in Iowa. There were no children. Both the Wright and Howard families moved to Le Grand Township, Marshall County, Iowa in 1854 or 1855. Jacob Kinsey arrived in Le Grand Township in that same time frame accompanied by his mother and most of his siblings. Jacob's father died in late 1850 or early 1851 in Porter County, Indiana where the family had lived for some dozen years. Jacob had married Harriet Ternice in 1848 in Porter County. A son, Marion, was born in 1850. Harriet died in 1853 in Porter County. Jacob Kinsey and Susan Wright Howard were married in Marshall County, Iowa on November 18, 1855. They had a son, William Lafayette, on January 17, 1857. Susan's older brother William died on February 28, 1856. A sister, Nancy Emily, and a brother, Hiram, both died in 1859. The marriage to Jacob had broken up by the 1860 census. Susan and her son William were living with Susan's parents in Le Grand Township. Jacob and his son Marion had moved on to Falls City Nebraska where Jacob's mother and several of his siblings had settled. Susan and William apparently lived with Susan's parents until, on January 1, 1880, William married Mary Anna Albright in Marshall County. In February, 1880, Susan's parents both died, reportedly of pneumonia. Her brother Thomas also died in February, 1880. After her parent's deaths Susan lived with her brother Richard, whose wife had died in 1871. William and Mary continued to live in Le Grand Township. They had three children while in Iowa. Mary's father died in 1883, and her mother moved to Linn County, Iowa to live with her brother, Jessee Buchley and his family. William, Mary and their three children moved to Cascade County, Montana sometime around 1887. Susan died January 13, 1890.
