Description	:	"Susan Allen Summers, daughter of Enoch and Rebecca Allen was born May 12, 1860 south of Cates. She was united in marriage to Francis M. Summers Dec. 31, 1894. They began their wedded life together in their home which they built just east of that place and where they enjoyed much happiness until Sept. 5, 1925 when the death angel came and took Mr. Summers to that home above. Mrs. Summers has spent her entire life in this community where she endeared herself to everyone around her because of her quiet simple life. Charity, kind words and good cheer were always... Read More	"Susan Allen Summers, daughter of Enoch and Rebecca Allen was born May 12, 1860 south of Cates. She was united in marriage to Francis M. Summers Dec. 31, 1894. At an early age she joined the Christian church, but in later life placed her membership with the Nazarene church at this place. She departed this life April 1, 1932 at the age of 71 years 10 months and 18 days. She leaves to mourn her loss two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Erwin of Veedersburg and Mrs. John Price of Covington with a number of nieces and nephews and also a host of friends. Funeral services conducted by Rev. J. F. Coombs were held at Cates, Sunday at 2 p.m., directed by Boord & Shelby, burial at Harveysburg cemetery."-The Covington Republican, Friday, April 8, 1932
