She attended the "Dew Drop" rural school and Cedar Rapids high school. She married Walter Thomas and 4 children were born to this union. They made their home at various times in Duncan, Roscoe, Odessa and Kearney, moving to Shelby in 1941, where they have since made their home. S Air Force at Salina, Kan.; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mrs. Grace Moore of Corona, Calif., Mrs. Lena Williams of Fullerton, Mrs. Lona Robinson and Mrs. Mary Ackerman , both of Cedar Rapids, and 1 brother, Roydon Cox of Central City. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a. m. at the Osceola funeral home with the Rev M G Braun of Shelby officiating. Interment was at 2:30 p. m. in Sunset Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Pallbearers were Hugo Doehling, Roy Mason, Ray Vretenburgh, Robert, Linda , Laverne Boss and Ray Wilbur. Cedar Rapids relatives attending the services in Osceola were Mrs Mary Ackerman , Mr and Mrs. William Robinson, Mr and Mrs Lester Robinson, Mr and Mrs Orville Robinson, Mr. and Mrs Maurice Cox and Mrs. Russell Bennett.
