Description	:	MAUCK, SUSAN relic of the late Hon. Robert G. Mauck died at the home of her son, Wm. T. Mauck about 3 miles from this place on last Friday 02 Mar 1901 in the 67th year of her age. She was before marriage a Miss Burner & was born & reared in this county, where she has always been highly esteemed for her high Christian character by all who knew her without regard to denominational persuasion, having early in life connected herself with the Primitive Baptist Church. She was before marriage a Miss Burner & was born & reared in this county, where she has always been highly esteemed for her high Christian character by all who knew her without regard to denominational persuasion, having early in life connected herself with the Primitive Baptist Church. Quiet & unassuming in her daily walk, her true worth was nevertheless recognized by all with whom she came in contact, as was amply attended by the unusually large concourse of sorrowing friends who came to pay her the last tribute of respect while being laid to rest in the old family burial ground. She leaves 6 children - Wm. T. & Chas. J. Mauck & Mrs. C. L. Lawler all of this county, Mrs. Chas. W. Garber of Augusta County & Mrs. S. S. Garber & Mrs. W. F. Garber of Washington City & a number of grandchildren & other relatives & friends to mourn her loss, but they mourn not as those without hope. (The Page Courier - 07 Mar 1901)
