Description	:	Good Lady Formerly of Gaffnev Dies in Spartanburg at Age of 56. Mrs. J. T. Thackston, for years a resident of this city, passed away at her home in Spartanburg early Friday morning. She had been in ill health for some time and for the last few days had been critically ill with indigestion. Her son, Harvey Thackston, of this city, was called to her bedside on Wednesday. She had been in ill health for some time and for the last few days had been critically ill with indigestion. Her son, Harvey Thackston, of this city, was called to her bedside on Wednesday. Mrs. Thackston's death has caused a pang of sorrow in many a home in Gaffney, where she was known as a Christian lady and a kind neighbor. She had reached the age of fifty-six years and had ten children, who survive her and mourn their loss. The funeral services were held Saturday morning at Oakland cemetery in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends. The following children and a devoted husband, J. T. Thackston, survive their departed mother and wife: J P, Thackston, of Spartanburg; Homer Thackston. of Gaffney; A. D. Thackston, of Gaffney; H. L. Thackston, of Cross Keys; Smith Thackston, of Spartanburg; Claude Thackston, of Spartanburg; Lei a Thackston, of Spartanburg, Mrs. S. A. Porter, of Spartanburg; Mrs. C. N. Mabry, of Pacolet; and Harvey Thackston, of Gaffney. The following gentlemen were pall bearers: Messrs. C. J. Wall. W. C Durham, J. L. Mooney, Thomas Webb, Z. A. Robertson andE. E. Reid.
