Jones, the maiden name of Mrs. Noble, was born in Harrison county, Ohio, in 1833 and came to Iowa in 1851 with the family of an old brother. They took up their residence near Colesburg and two years later the deceased was unity in marriage with T. Noble. They moved onto a farm near Greeley and have lived in that vicinity since that time. Seven children resulted from the union, one dying in infancy and six together with the bereaved husband remain to mourn the loss of loving mother and wife. The children, all of whom were present at the funeral, are Chas. Noble of this city, Mrs. Byron Baker, Wm. Noble, Mrs. Wm. Harris, Mrs. Robt. Graham all of whom reside in the neighborhood of Greeley and Bert Noble of Oelwein. Mrs. Noble was a true Christian woman and a member of the M.E.church at Greeley. She was a old settler of this county and was one of the sturdy pioneers whose courage and patient industry have served the community. The funeral services were held last Sunday afternoon at the M.E.church at Greeley, Rev.L. Hubbel officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Edgewood cemetery.
