Mrs. Susan Elizabeth, wife of George Breese, died at her home about three and a half miles west of this city in Shawnee Township, at 5:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The deceased was 44 years of age and was one of the best known and most estimable country ladies in the county. Mrs. Susan Elizabeth, wife of George Breese, died at her home about three and a half miles west of this city in Shawnee Township, at 5:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The deceased was 44 years of age and was one of the best known and most estimable country ladies in the county. She had been ill for some time , but her illness did not become serious intil about three weeks ago. The immediate cause of her death was general debility. Mrs. Breese was a charitable Christian lady, and has many acts of kindness among the unfortunate will cause her to be remembered as a woman of many personalities, which led them to the highest views of life. Mrs. Breese was a daughter of Jacob Nye, of Shawnee township. She leaves a husband, a son and a daughter; the latter are Clarence and Miss Mabel Breese. She also leave three sisters, Mrs. J. P. Black of 622 West Spring street, Mrs. Anna Hover , of West High Street, and Mrs. W. H. Lamberton; and two brothers, John H. Nye, of West Spring street, and Cyrus Nye, of Shawnee township. The funeral will leave the residence at 10 o'clock tomorrow and the services will be held from the Shawnee church. Interment will be made in the Shawnee cemetery. 05-04-1896 Times Democrat pg 6
