Friends of The Family Serve as Pallbearers Susan Hall Was a Native of Ohio Having Been Born in 1842 - The End Came in This City February 8th, 1915. The funeral of the late Mrs. Susan Hall Davis was held Wednesday, February 10th at 2:00 p.m., from the family residence 623 Eighth street with the Rev. Stado Munneke of the Presbyterian church in charge. Interment was in Linwood Park Cemetery West. The pallbearers were Messrs. F. Smith, E. Farnsworth, Richard Jones, Hugh Conn, Gay Ringland and J. W. Lamb. The quartette composed of Miss Marie Kinsman, Miss Lucile Good, John Dyer and Lee Boyd sang "Nearer My God to Thee," "Some Day the Silver Cord Will Break," and "Sometime We'll Understand." Susan Hall was born in the state of Ohio in the year of 1842, March 6th, making her 72 years, 11 months and 2 days of age at the time of her demise. She spent her early life in Ohio coming west to Marrietta, Ia., Marshall county. In the year of 1857 she was married to Hannibal Davis in Marrietta and came to Boone when it was called Montana, arriving here on the first passenger train running west from Marshalltown, Ia. Her husband met with an accident at Ninth and Carroll Streets on January 12, 1894, which caused his death. To this union were born five children, three daughters and two sons, Eva died at the age of 3 years, and Elmer E. died March 5th, 1913. Mrs. L. O. Thompson of Boone, Mrs. J. J. Feeley of Des Moines and William at home survive. She leaves two brothers, Mark Hall of Marrietta, Iowa, and Walter Hall of New Castle, Wyo. Mrs. Davis left 4 grandchildren, Edgar L. and Ralph L. Thompson and Elmer and Harrold Davis and two great-grandchildren: Loran and Dean Thompson. She was formerly united with the United Brethren church of which there are none in this city. She had been failing for about a year but thought it nothing serious until she was compelled to go to her bed about 10 days ago. She passed away at 4:50 a.m. Monday, February 8th. ****** CARD OF THANKS We wish to thank the neighbors and friends for their many acts of kindness and sympathy shown us during the sickness and death of our mother.
