In 1878 or 1879 Mr. and Mrs. Wolverton donated a lot, and built a house on their farm for church purposes. Reverend Williams, the first pastor, continued his services until 1887, when he was succeeded by Ezekiel Wright. Several years later the society was discontinued. The largest membership was twenty-five. Samuel, Caleb, and Isaac Wolverton and their families were all members of this church. The house was named Union, but three religious denominations used it.
