Susan first married to Steven George Custer (1798-1847) on 15 Mar 1838 at Monroe County, Missouri. Susan and Steven were the parents of three (or four?) known children, namely: 1. Virginia S. In 1860 Susan, her second husband, Frederick Rominger (a merchant), three Rominger children and two Custer children (from Susan's first marriage?) (Virginia (age 17, born MO) and Louis E. (age 16, born MO) were living at Davis County, Iowa. Was Louis really a child of Susan's or a nephew or something? After Steven died, Susan remarried to Frederick Rominger (1817-1905) on 18 Aug 1853 at Schuyler County, Missouri. Frederick and Susan were the parents of three known children, namely: 1. Henry Clay Rominger (1856-1951) 2. Edward Everett Rominger (1859-1924) 3.
