Read More	From a 1914 Nance County, Nebraska, newspaper clipping file, transcribed by Linda Berney: Susan Rebecca Cox, daughter of John and Rachel Jane Cox, was born in Joplin, Mo, March 1, 1856 and entered her reward at Fullerton, Nebraska, August 21, 1914. Of her father's family of five children, three sons and two daughters, one son and an infant daughter have crossed the flood, Mrs. Pitchford being the third, leaving two brothers lingering on times shore. At the age of nine years she came with her parents to Washington County, Illinois, and there on March 7, 1872, was united in marriage to Mr. James K. Pitchford. In February 1888 they moved to Nance County, Nebraska, where they have since made their home. To this union were born 12 children, three of this family died in infancy or childhood, leaving as the surviving members the husband, two brothers, nine children and nineteen grandchildren, giving to the world a faithful motherhood and enriching home with her kindly spirit. In early life she was drawn to Christ and united with the Baptist church to which she remained until her death. A week ago Mrs. Pitchford met with a painful accident, sustaining a fractured arm, other complications set in and after all that medical skill and a trained nurse with loving friends could do, she silently entered the shadows on Friday, "and was not, for God took her."....
