OBITUARY: November 11, 1898 Friday Sullivan Democrat -Death of Mrs. R.A. Moore. -Susan Robertson Moore was born in Bartholomew County, Indiana, March 22, 1832. She moved with her parents to Shelby County, Indiana in 1848. There she made the acquaintance of R.A. Moore. This acquaintance grew into undying affection and on the 25th of November, 1852, their young lives were united to form the holy estate of matrimony. To them were born nine children, two sons and seven daughters. One son and four daughters have preceded her into the Unseen. Of her immediate family there are two brothers living. Sister Moore united with the Christian Church at Newburn, Bartholomew County, Ind., at the early age of 13 years, being baptized by our sainted Brother Irwin. She brought her letter to this church in 1853, where it remains loved and honored to this day. Sister Moore moved with her husband to Sullivan, Ind., in 1853. There remains but four family (possibly but two, which have not been broken) of the generation with which they lived in that far gone year. She yielded her claim to earth, layed off the armor of warfare, received her crown, November 4, 1898, at the age of 66 years, 7 months, 12 days. The funeral of Mrs. Moore occurred Sunday and it was largely attended. On account of the illness of Elder Yocum, Elder Ireland of Princeton, conducted the funeral services.
