The Memorial Graveside Service will be held at 1:30pm Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Greenhill Cemetery in Lemmon with Pastor Ken Miller, officiating. A time of fellowship will be held following the graveside service at Calvary Lutheran Church in Lemmon. She was born April 7, 1956, in Lemmon, SD, the youngest of eleven children born to Wilbur and Anna Susanna (Wiedmer) Nelson. She grew up in Lemmon where she attended school. She began cooking in various restaurants in Lemmon including the Truck Stop and Busted T Café. She developed a love for cooking, baking, decorating cakes, doing craft work, and growing plants. She was united in marriage to Gary Pister Sr. in 1974. They lived in Ulysses, KS where they raised their family. Susie was united in marriage to Kelly Napton on February 17, 1990, in Lemmon. They lived in various states while Kelly was a over the road truck driver. Wanting to be near her children and grandchildren, Susie and Kelly moved to Ulysses in 2004. Surviving family members include her husband, Kelly, six children, Kandice Wolf and husband, Dennis, Great Bend, KS, Gary Pister Jr. and wife, Jennifer, Ulysses, KS, Tammy Koehn and husband, Dexter, Holcomb, KS, Brad Pister and wife, Alicia, Ulysses, KS, Theo Pister and wife, Kristine, Ulysses, KS, and Kristy Parker and husband, Clayton, Ulysses, KS; 17 grandchildren; one brother, Bob Nelson and wife, Patti, Harrisonville, MO; four sisters, Lorraine Holdahl, Wilsonville, OR, Betty Eller and husband, Doug, Portland, OR, Shirley Warfield and husband, Joe, Lemmon, SD, and Helen Bergenheier, Lemmon, SD; brother-in-law, Casey Napton and wife, Heather, Sioux Falls, SD; and sisters-in-law, Nancy Roark and husband, Steven, Apollo Beach, FL, Nanette Poston and husband, Doug, Statesville, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John Nelson, Wilber Jr. "Sonny" Nelson and Arthur Nelson; two sisters, Bertha Johnson and Marge Lorenz; and two brothers-in-law, Lyle Holdahl and Joe Bergenheier. A memorial has been established.
