Description	:	Mrs. Susan T. Ernst passed away at her home in this city Tuesday morning, July 28, 1925, at 10:15 o;clock. She had been in ill health for over a year and bedfast the past three months gradually growing weaker until the end came. Loved ones and medical aid did all in their power to comfort and nurse her back to health but to no avail. Read More	Mrs. Susan T. Ernst passed away at her home in this city Tuesday morning, July 28, 1925, at 10:15 o;clock. She had been in ill health for over a year and bedfast the past three months gradually growing weaker until the end came. Loved ones and medical aid did all in their power to comfort and nurse her back to health but to no avail. Her maiden name was Susan Theresa Manderscheid, daughter of John and Susan Manderscheid, and was born south of La Motte in Richland township on August 12, 1868, being 56 years, 11 months and 16 days old at the time of her death. On January 22, 1890, she was united in marriage to Conrad Ernst in the Otter Creek Church by Father Clabby. They made their home on the Ernst farm south of La Motte until March 1906, when they retired and moved to La Motte. Her husband preceded her in death eight years ago. She is survived by one daughter, Miss Mary; six brothers, John and B. J. Manderscheid of Bellevue; Peter, William and Frank of La Motte, and Henry of Andrew; four sisters, Mary Manderscheid and Mrs. Josephine Braig of Ashton, Mrs. Anna Mueller and Mrs. Margaret Konrardy of La Motte, also one step sister, Mrs. Didier of Lamars. Mrs. Ernst was well known among the people of this vicinity where she has lived her entire life. She was a devout member of the Catholic church and during her long illness was ever sustained by the thoughts of Him whom she had served throughout life, when the end came the angel of death found her ready, prepared with the sacraments of the church, and closed her eyes in a peaceful sleep and opened them in a better world. Funeral will be held on Friday morning from the home to Holy Rosary church at 9 o'clock, Rev. Friedmann officiating.
