Description	:	Lyndon Herald 20 Apr 1912 Susannah Peterson, nee Redenbaugh, was born in Montgomery county, Indiana, May 17, 1852. She emigrated with her parents to Appannoose County, Iowa when four months old and from there to Osage County, Kansas in 1868. She was married to Peter Peterson in October 1869. Unto this union were born thirteen children, three of whom preceded her to the Glory world in infancy. Read More	Lyndon Herald 20 Apr 1912 Susannah Peterson, nee Redenbaugh, was born in Montgomery county, Indiana, May 17, 1852. She emigrated with her parents to Appannoose County, Iowa when four months old and from there to Osage County, Kansas in 1868. She was married to Peter Peterson in October 1869. Unto this union were born thirteen children, three of whom preceded her to the Glory world in infancy. Mrs. Peterson is survived by her aged mother, one brother, John Redenbaugh, ten children and seventeen grandchildren. Mrs. Peterson was a woman of Christian principles. She sought to do the will of God in the circle in which she moved. This is verified by the many friends who testify to the fact. She was a neighbor to all who needed her help, always ready to do for them what she could. To her children, she was mother, indeed, being interested in the welfare of all of them. Her prayer was that they might fill their place in the world and fill it well and meet her in Heaven, where parting shall be no more. Mrs. Peterson died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Forest Elliott, near Lyndon on Friday afternoon, April 19, 1912 at the age of 59 years, 11 months and 2 days. Dropsy did its work. Nine of her children were present when death came. One daughter, Mrs. Deckwa, who lives in California was unable to come to her bedside. Mrs. Peterson will be missed by her children as well as her many other relatives and friends. May they all surrender to God in order they they may meet their mother in Heaven. The funeral was conducted in a Christian manner on Saturday attended by a large crowd of people. A short service was held in the home and preaching service in the Mount Zion church after which the remains of Sister Peterson were laid away in the Mount Zion Cemetery, there to await the morn of the resurrection.
