Sylvan Glenn Barton, the son of Robert Clayton and Edna Lillibridge Barton, was born Dec. 7, 1907 in Spencer. His childhood years were spent in Spencer, where he received his early education. Sylvan Glenn Barton, the son of Robert Clayton and Edna Lillibridge Barton, was born Dec. 7, 1907 in Spencer. His childhood years were spent in Spencer, where he received his early education. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Inez Schilling, Neva Barton and Clara Strongren; and two brothers: Roy and Clyde Barton.
