Description	:	Sylvester was the son of Adam "A D" and Mamie (Ackerman) Ankenbauer. In the 26, Jan 1920 census Sylvester's mother Mamie is listed but by the 16 of Feb she died he was age 1 year and 7 months old. Adam could not take care of his baby son and still work. In the 1925 census (family #35) we find him age 7 living with the Thompson family. This is the family that raised him. The Thompson's may have been family on his mother's side.
