On July 22, 1948, she married Donald Bies at Salem. They lived in Salem, Kandiyohi, MN for three years, Aberdeen and then moved to White Lake, where she had been a resident for forty-eight years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, May 10, 2008, two sisters, Dora Schillinger and Imogene Dunn, two brothers, Dick Janssen and Hans Janssen, and one granddaughter, Karen Falk.
